It's been a long time!
Hello Everyone,
It's been a long time since I've made a blog post. Life got away from me in so many ways.
Last time you heard from me I had started a job and my life got crazy.
I had no time for my blog, book reviews or for product reviews. I hardly had time for my kids because my job made me completely exhausted.
Three years later I got layed off because the company shut down. I took a year off and got married to Claude after being together 10 years. It'll be our 3 year wedding anniversary this July. Time flies.
After all that I went to work for a shoe store, it was awful and I quickly found another job. I really enjoyed the job but it was physically exhausting for me. I lost about 40lbs between September to Feb.
Along with all that our son was having more and more difficulties with school, behavioral and health wise. It got to the point where the school called almost every day. That and trying to keep a clean home got to be a bit overwhelming for me and I started to get agrophobic and panicked for small things. Which then depressed me. It was a dark place.
I stopped working and went crazy on my house. I organized every closet and cupboards for the first couple of months then I rearranged items. I noticed that if my house was in chaos then my emotions and worries were as well. The cleaning and organizing really helped.
Our son's school problems just continued to get worse and we noticed it got a bit better when I was home and we had more of a schedule. Our daughter moved out to become an adult and has been adulting very well. We are so proud of her. She'll be going to college this year.
Another huge change is that I replaced my makeup creations for actual painting. It has taken my art to another level. My parents were a huge support, they loved my paintings and my husband was as well. My dad believes in me so much that he bought me most of my paint supplies. I'm very thankful. Painting has helped me so much and has made me get out of the house even when I wanted to stay home. I joined the local art society and I participated tons. I was featured in our local paper and then did a Plein Air festival for a weekend. I even had my very own solo exhibition. Fifteen original paintings by me.
The excitement of the opening day almost did me in. I was so anxious. Only my family and best friend showed up for it and I was extremely disappointed. I headed back to cleaning house, organizing and being depressed for a month after. I also didn't sell a single painting
I haven't given up though. I'm still painting and will continue to do so. It's very therapeutic.
I've decided to start blogging again. It may be therapeutic as well. I'll do book reviews again, some product reviews. I'll share my paintings and try to do some paintings of the scenes from some of the books I review.
I'll give it another go.
I've had over 45 thousand views on my blog, that's huge to me. Hopefully I'll continue to get more.
Thank you for all your support!
