Slow to post

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry I have been so slow to post lately.  I've started something new and it's been quite time consuming.  I've started to write a book :D  I've been contemplating doing so for a while now I just didn't have the right idea to get my juices flowing.
Then the other day I was chatting with my FB friend Kym and BOOM an idea began to take shape and Kym and I kinda ran with it throwing out ideas and next thing I knew we had a plot and a ladder to follow, I asked her if she wanted to co-write it with me but she declined saying she'd just like to read it and maybe throw ideas at me if I get stuck along the adventure and I thanked her sooo much because she really helped me get started.
As of today I'm on Chapter 8 and not even half way through the book and the writing is going along quite smoothly.  I'm so excited!
As you can guess this and being a mom and homemaker takes up alot of my time but I'm not giving up on my reading. I take a few minutes here and there to read and as soon as I finish the book I'm reading now I'll post a review.
Thanks all so much for joining my blog :D

HUGS!

Reviewing a few short books

One minute I'm locked out of my hotel room, and the next... Dylan Hargreave thinks I'm an actress paid to pose as his girlfriend at a North Carolina society wedding. How did this happen to me, of all people? Kendall Clarke, award-winning actuary, the veritable shining star of number crunchers who, just hours ago, learned her responsible fiancé (sorry, ex-fiancé) called off our wedding because he'd gotten one of my colleagues pregnant. What are the odds? Don't tell me you've never heard of Dylan Hargreave. Celebrity NASCAR driver? People magazine's Sexiest Man of the Year? Those eyes. That smile... Forget sensible! I've assessed the risk...and I'm taking it! I usually keep the brakes on, but as of now I'm taking a vacation. From me.

This book I enjoyed quite a bit, it was very funny and believable.  Kendall is what we call a "NERD"  and Dylan is certainly the "HUNK".  There's some controversy  throughout the story which keeps it interesting.  It's a light read but a good one.

Sydney Skeller’s father is spitting bullets over her reluctance to join the family business as a shifter hunter. The last thing Daddy needs to know is why—she yearns for a lover who’s man enough for a relationship but animal enough to give her the wild ride of her dreams. After a treadmill mishap lands her in a tangled heap with Jason Cannon, she wonders if she’s finally found her beast, er, man. One session in bed and one bite later, she’s sure. Now if only she can keep her father from mounting Jason’s head on a wall…

Jason is all man on the surface, but wolf shifter down to the bone. He’s more than ready to stop “playing the pack” and find his one true mate, and Sydney of the luscious curves is the woman of his dreams. Finding out that she comes from a family sworn to eradicate his kind isn’t a deal-breaker. But her outrageous plan for him to masquerade as the wolf in hunter’s clothing, right under her father’s very nose, could be asking more than he ever expected to give.

Howling for my baby, wasn't at all believable but it was still fun to read it.  Sydney is a strong but emotional heroine and Jason is an Alpha who's not quite bossy for an alpha.  I honestly think Jason could have been a more take charge and forceful person in this book but he seems more easy going then most Alphas that I've read about.  The book was funny and had me laughing out loud or befuddled a few times.  It's a fast and light hearted read.

Scrumptious as a cherry peach parfait . . . or a sinfully kinky foursome.

The popular cooking show, Brunch with Laura, is T.S. Larkin's brainchild. Rather, it was. Because her boss couldn't keep it in his pants, Truly's unemployed and not sure what to do with herself. When a juicy tip leads her to the best-kept secret in Denver-three mouthwatering chefs whose restaurant image needs a makeover-her PR instincts start tingling. And her imagination simmers with private fantasies.

Ever since the last woman he, Clay and Louis shared nearly ruined everything, Nate has worked hard to get things back in order. Truly's ideas could rescue their business, but her non-stop curves, luscious lips and cherry-on-top hair are a sure-fire recipe for another disaster.

But when the ingredients are right, the reaction is inevitable. A kiss in the walk-in explodes into a wild night of indulging Truly's every sweet and spicy whim. She is the missing ingredient for the perfect foursome. Except Nate is suddenly not so sure he's willing to let the others lick the spoon, much less share.

Warning: Explicit sex, bisexual ménage, delicious recipes, sexy chefs who like to share. Threesomes, foursomes, kinky food tastings, excessive use of shower toys and chocolate . . . Hungry yet?

This Book was a HOT READ!!!  Yummy from beginning to end.  I liked this book because it was sexy, easy to follow and the heroes were oh so Scrumptious lol  Nate  is somewhat an ass but because he and his buds have hurt before and Truly is insecure but with the help of the heroes she seems to get over it.  Lots of sex and humour in this book, I recommend it as a must read Menagerie :)

Just for fun here's some hot Cowboy Pics!

Easter Makeup

As promised I did 2 makeup looks.  The 1st is a soft pastel look, I wanted it to look wearable and romantic.

The Second look I did is more of a Glamour or High Fashion type.  I was trying to make my eye look like an Easter Egg lol  Not sure if it does or not but I think the colours blend well together.

The Bride's baby

The wedding of the season!
Events manager Sylvie Smith is organizing a glittering fund-raising event: a wedding show in a stately home. She has even been roped into pretending to be a bride... a bride who's five months pregnant!
The bride everyone is talking about!
It should be every girl's dream to design a wedding with no expense spared, but it's not Sylvie's. Longbourne Court was her ancestral home, and she's just discovered that the new owner is Tom McFarlane--her baby's secret father. Now Tom's standing in front of her, looking at her bump....

I loved this book so much that I had to do another post today, right away  before it faded in my memory.
My memory seriously sucks lol So, here goes.

The story begins with a Wedding planner who is organizing a Wedding that's worth thousands of dollars.  The Hero of the story is the Groom who she is organizing the wedding for.  Instant attraction!
With many things getting mixed up and things not going quite as planned you would think this book would come to a different end.  I have to call this book a pure fairytale, it has happiness, sadness, conflict and I'll say suspense for the reader because you just have to know what is going to happen next.

This book made me feel alive and made me cry and then, the best part........ It left me with a smile.  I wish it could have been me.  The perfect romantic tale all the way through.

April 13, 2011

I received my Jimmy Thomas calendar today that I won from Delilah Devlin on Wild&Wicked Cowboys Blog.  I adore that blog not just because it's about cowboys but because it's full of amazing authors and they get great guests.
I have been reading but mostly just short stories and since the titles have not stuck in my head or made me think, "oh wow I need to blog about that"  I figured they weren't worth the time.
Today we went to get our kids their Easter gifts, I'd tell you what we got but I can't guarentee my daughter won't check out my blog lol
I'm glad she can read but I miss the days hubby and I could exchange notes to keep things a secret.  Soon our son will be able to read just as well and we'll have to become really creative lol.
Now since Easter is coming I was thinking that sometime this week or on the weekend I'm going to try an Easter makeup look... Not gonna draw an egg or bunny on my face but try to use pastel colors and come up with either a glam or everyday look that can be done, maybe I'll do both.

Som, check back for my next post :)  Also, I have added some of my older makeup looks to this page, look way down at the bottom for some pictures of my older looks.
Hope you Enjoy!

Just a shoutout!

Hi, I just wanted to shout out to those new people who are stopping by my blog.  As you can see it's fairly new and I'm still trying to figure some things out lol.  I started it so I could share what I though about certain books that I read or series and to share my passion for makeup.  Weird combination I know :D  But see I'm equally passionate about both and I thought why not share :)

So, thanks for stopping by and if you become a follower thanks so much for that also :D
