A Small Tribute To My Husband For Father's Day

This is my wonderful Hubby- to -be Claude, we recently celebrated our 7 year Anniversary.  Claude and I met online and chatted via webcam and telephone only a few months before moving in together.  We fell in love pretty much right away.
You're probably asking yourself "What made you fall in love with Claude?"  Well I'll tell you!

One evening, living in Halifax, NS.  I was on the telephone with Claude when I heard my daughter calling for help up stairs.  I ran to see what was wrong, only to find my daughter looking over the top of the bathroom door.  She looked down at me and said "Mommy, I'm stuck!"  I asked her what in the world was she thinking climbing up there.  Her answer was "I just wanted to touch the ceiling."
I couldn't help but crack a little smile at that.
Returning back to the phone Claude asked me what happen.  I could tell he was very concerned.  I told him of my darling daughter's little escapade and we had a good laugh.  Then in all seriousness Claude tells me "If I was her dad she wouldn't need to climb anything, I'd always help her to touch the ceiling"  That was the moment I fell in love with him.  It was such a little thing but it said so much about the type of father he is. You know he did always help her touch the ceiling until she got to old to lift though lol now he hands her a chair lol

In 2005,  Claude and I had our son Cedric.  There was such joy in us both when he was born.  Claude was the biggest help when I was pregnant and after our baby was born.
I can honestly say that he was always helping with the baby and the housework.  He has always been my equal partner in everything.


Claude's infinite patience, selflessness, understanding and depth for love amazes me constantly and is only a small part of why we love him.  Each and everyday, he is there for our children and they know that no matter what comes they can depend on him.  It's because of this I say he is THE #1 FATHER! and THE #1 HUBBY-TO-BE!





When dreaming of my "Prince Charming" as a young girl, I would dream of a man who would sweep me off me feet.
But, I am so lucky because I ended up with better then that.  He swept me off my feet and is truly my best friend and the most wonderful father.

LOL Lexi sounds like me when I was a kid... This made me cry because it reminded me so much of my Father you and Lexi were as lucky and blessed as my mother and I were when my daddy came into our lives and the fact that he chose to be Lexi's dad will mean so much to her as she gets older. Give Claude a big HUG for me and tell him he has all my respects. from a chosen daughter who knows how much being chosen means
